Bunge's response on alleged palm oil supply chain violations

...One of Bunge's pillars of sustainability is transparency, so it is important to clarify that before purchasing palm products from potential new suppliers (direct supply), they must be in compliance with Bunge's Sustainable Palm Oil Policy and our Supplier Qualification Process.

In relation to BBF, we have in the past identified a specific, indirect supply through a Tier 1 supplier and contacted this supplier for verification. In response, we were informed that they no longer have a business relationship with BBF since early 2020...

Mar-22: Agropalma confirmed the access of local communities through the easement areas that are included in their possessions and properties and will collaborate with local authorities to comply with the law in their operations. They also confirmed that the company has been complying with labour legislation and providing adequate conditions for the exercise of labour...

Sep-22: Bunge has reached out to Agropalma to follow up on allegations of conflicts with local communities related to land disputes.
