The Delhi High Court...issued a showcause notice to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on a petition alleging that it had been grossly negligent towards its construction work which led to the Zamrudpur accident...Six people were killed and over a dozen were injured in the accident...On July 24...the High Court had asked the corporation and its contractor Gammon India to give compensation to the accident affected people.
