England fan ‘strip searched for wearing a rainbow T-shirt’ at World Cup game in Qatar

A member of England’s official travel club has said he was subjected to a strip search by security staff and then detained further as he tried to enter a World Cup match because he was wearing rainbow colours, i can reveal...

...when trying to enter Netherlands against Qatar at Al Bayt Stadium, England supporter Anthony Johnson, from London, said he was subjected to a lengthy strip search and then detained for wearing a t-shirt that had England’s official badge in rainbow colours and a baseball cap in the same colours...

Johnson said the strip search involved him being forced to remove all of his clothes, including underwear in front of a member of security staff...
