EU adopts nineteen sanctions packages against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine aiming to limit its ability to wage war
Since 24 February 2022, the EU has adopted 19 sanctions packages in response to Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. These measures target a significant number of individuals and organisations and impose restrictions across various sectors. Their aim is to weaken Russia’s economic base, deprive it of critical technologies and markets, and significantly limit its ability to wage war.
