Expert workshops: European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) seeks input on preparation of draft sector-specific EU Sustainability Reporting Standards

'EFRAG SECTOR WORKSHOPS: CALL FOR EXPERTS TO PROVIDE INPUT ON THE PREPARATION OF DRAFT ESRS SECTOR-SPECIFIC SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING STANDARDS', 24 May 2022

EFRAG calls for experts in the sustainability reporting field with sector specific backgrounds to participate in sector workshops and to provide input on the preparation of draft ESRS Sector-Specific Sustainability Reporting Standards.

The application deadline for each workshop is 10 calendar days before the workshop takes place. Please check the list of workshops here [the first workshops will be held on 9/10 June with an application deadline of 31 May].

Please submit your application here.

On 29 April EFRAG launched a public consultation on the exposure drafts of  the first set of draft ESRS. This first set covers draft standards to be applied by all undertakings within the scope of the proposal for a CSRD, across all the sectors (‘sector-agnostic’).

A second set of sector-specific draft standards is being prepared. As for the development of the sector agnostic draft standards, EFRAG is seeking additonal expert advice on the development of these sector specific draft standards. EFRAG is thus seeking experts with particular industry experience for those sectors which are currently underrepresented in EFRAG’s existing sector oriented Expert Working Group. Please find the list of sectors where additional experts are sought here.

The experts will be expected to review research material and working papers and, in this way, provide input to the sector specific draft standards or part of them during dedicated closed workshop(s). EFRAG is organising these workshops by webcast during June and July 2022.

Expertise can be shown in many ways, including whether you are a preparer or a user in a specific sector or another sector stakeholder whether private or public.

If you have specific experience in one of the sectors for which additional experts are sought and you are available to participate in one of these relevant workshops, please submit your application here. This should include a short description of your relevant experience and your contact details. Please indicate to which sector workshop(s) you want to participate.

In case you are unavailable during the proposed webcast date for your specific sector but wish to share your views with the EFRAG Secretariat seperately a follow up may be organised...
