PNT CO., LTD. Cambodia Logging & lumber Company Response

Sources

In September 2020, four Cambodian Forest activists Khem Sokhy, So Thal, Vong Sok Khengly, and San Reth were facing charges of incitement to commit a felony under Article 895 of the Cambodian Criminal Code after the logging company PNT Co., Ltd filed a complaint. The four activists are residents of Ruosroan commune’s Russey village in Rovieng district. The complaint against them is related to a 2015 land dispute. PNT Co., Ltd has been clearing residents' farmland in Ruosroan commune since January 2014, and the residents have claimed they had occupied the territory and grown rice on the land for over ten years.
