KIABI's response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories - February 2024 Update

Wonderful Apparel has never been our factory, we are investigating why our name was being quoted. Would be happy if you could share with us more information for investigation.

As for Handa Myanmar, we have our local Production Engineer who visit factories frequently and also 3rd party audit in 2023  had not identified those alleged issues. We have a whistleblower platform which can be filled in by factories’ employees https://report.whistleb.com/my/kiabi in local language, we are happy to hear directly from them to understand more if there is any violation at the factories.

In addition, we will be launching another 3rd party unannounced audit in Jan/ Feb while our Internal KIABI Compliance officer will visit Myanmar for unannounced audit in Mar/ Apr to understand the situation in all our production sites.

Part of the following timelines

Myanmar: Workers report several rights abuses at garment factory incl. denial of leave if workers fall ill; incl. co. responses
