Kuoni's response

Together with Travelife and its industry members, Kuoni welcomes any debate and insight into the issues of human rights in tourism. We are pleased that the report supports the Travelife standard as a means for customers to select sustainable travel options, however we acknowledge the identification of areas within the Travelife standard which could benefit from further focus and clarification. We intend to continue to work closely with Travelife to investigate and address the issues raised by Schyst Resande. Kuoni remains fully committed to pioneering social and environmental responsibility across our accommodation supply chain and we provide transparent information on our website at http://www.kuoni.com/corp-responsibility2013/sustainable-supply-chain.

We also attach Travelife’s response to the report for your information. For future reference, please note that the sale of Kuoni Group’s European tour operating activities to REWE Group was completed on 11 September 2015. REWE Group, and its tourism division DER Touristik, has therefore taken over Kuoni Group’s traditional tour operating activities in Switzerland, UK, Scandinavia/Finland and Benelux with immediate effect.
