Marriott International responds to claims of unfair dismissal of three employees by one of its hotel chains in Cambodia

Thank you for your outreach to Marriott International. We understand your concern regarding the events at Le Meridien Angkor and appreciate the opportunity to respond.

As stated in our response dated 6 October 2020, we intend to comply with local laws and will continue to cooperate to the best possible extent with any efforts to resolve the matter in an amicable manner. With regard to […] specific concerns and the news articles shared […] dated 26 October 2020, the referenced articles are from August and early September, so are not reflective of the current state of conversations. Since their posting, several meetings have been held between government, hotel and union representatives to resolve the matter amicably and constructively, including amongst hotel and union leadership.

I am closely monitoring the matter and understand the dialogue between the parties is productive and progressing toward a resolution.
