Marriott response to recruitment-fee charging at Nepali agency Vision & Value

Thank you for your outreach to Marriott lnternational dated 23 June 2A21, regarding the third party recruitment agency, Vision and Value Overseas Pvt. Ltd., in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We have begun to look into the matter and appreciate the opportunity to respond...

Marriott implements a "no fees" recruitment policy; we do not ask for money or charge fees to the applicant as part of the application process... Marriott expects suppliers to not charge recruitment fees as part of the application process or use fraudulent recruitment practices...

While Marriott has a regional agreement with Vision and Value Overseas, only one property has used the recruitment agency to hire three associates. The Director of Human Resources at the property is interviewing the associates to determine if they were charged recruitment fees above and beyond the fees required for government paperwork, visa applications and other legal requirements. If any recruitment fees were charged, the regional agreement will be cancelled.
