María Anabela Carlón Flores, a lawyer for the Yaqui tribe, belonging to the municipality of Bacum, a town that is resisting the construction of the Sonora gas pipeline, was kidnapped along with her husband. They were released hours later, after warning them "to stop messing around" [in vulgar terms], allegedly in reference to their opposition to the construction of the Aguaprieta gas pipeline on indigenous lands.
