Thousands of agricultural workers went on strike in San Quentin Valley, Baja California, to defend their rights and demand better wages and working conditions. The San Quentin valley is a highly productive agricultural region that focuses on the export market, especially to the United States. The Mexican government responded to the rural workers´ strike with repression and lack of dialogue.
