Myanmar: Garment workers allegedly face series of violations at factory, incl. dismissals without compensation, denial of social security benefits & verbal abuse; incl. co. response

In September 2022, it was reported that workers at Nexstar Garment Manufacturing factory were facing a series of violations at the factory, including dismissals without compensation due to lack of orders and if workers missed a day of work, denial of leave, denial of social security benefits, mandatory overtime on Sundays, and verbal abuse.

It was also reported that on 2 September 2022, 49 workers with less than one year of experience were dismissed without prior notice.
