Myanmar: Garment workers at Myanmar Tiannan Garment caught hiring children and day labourers on low wages; incl. co. responses

In November 2023, it was reported that workers at Myanmar Tiannan faced a series of violations, including day labourers hired on low wages and facing illegal dismissals, workers who failed to meet targets not getting appointed for overtime or provided transport to return home, and mandatory and unpaid overtime. Workers also called for clean toilets. The factory has previously been fined after being caught hiring children and day labourers on low wages.

In January 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited New Yorker ( for its FSBN, Black Squad brands) and Coolworks to respond.
