The president of Nash Finch Co. defended his company Friday against allegations of gender discrimination at its facility in Robeson County..."Nash Finch does not tolerate any form of discrimination and is committed to offering very compelling and rewarding employment opportunities in a safe environment for all individuals," Covington said...Covington said past disputes with the Department of Labor were settled out of court. In each of the previous cases, the company agreed to penalties but did not admit wrongdoing, Covington said. "Unfortunately, our efforts to resolve this matter amicably were not successful," Covington said. "We look forward to defending our hiring policies and procedures in the administrative tribunal."
