PT Wanatiara Persada did not respond
The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited PT Wanatiara Persada to respond to a report citing the company as one with the largest nickel smelters in Indonesia. The report alleges that nickel mining resulted to “disappearing food reserves and water sources, deforestation, the diminishing biodiversity, the widespread pollution smearing water, air, and sea, as well as continuing social conflicts”. The company did not respond.
