Cargill has reached a full and final settlement with around 80 former employees, which have been participating in a sit-in at the National Vegetable Oil (NVOC) crushing plant in Borg El-Arab. The settlement follows discussions with the former employees and their representatives, with the support of the Minister of Manpower and the Minister of Supply, and brings to an end the sit-in by the participants which started in mid-December. The settlement covers all of the former employees, whose contracts were terminated due to repeated violations of company procedures. Details of the settlement are not being disclosed...
