Response by GranTierra Energy

Thank you for reaching out to Gran Tierra Energy.

As you may know, the National and Regional governments are undertaking dialogue with the Putumayo Regional Strike Committee to work towards resolving the conflict that has transpired in recent months. Gran Tierra continues to support the dialogue space between local communities and the Government.

In the past 15 years, Gran Tierra has built transparent and respectful relationships with communities neighboring our operations, and at the foundation of our engagement is the commitment that we are always willing to listen and engage in transparent dialogue.

Please see yesterday’s press release (attached) in Spanish (original) and English (translation) from the Regional Strike Committee in relation to the current state of the dialogues.

We will be happy to make contact again once the Government and communities reach an agreement.
