Response by Veolia Jur

...Veolia Djur CJSC studied in detail the article published on the website https: www.ecolur.org/ about the possible pollution in Zovuni village, as well as the absence of an answer to this issue.

Since the receipt of this information, our Company has carried out numerous examinations, and we would like to inform you that water quality in this area complies with the sanitary-epidemiological requirements and standards.

In accordance with the accepted norms, Veolia Djur regularly receives information on water quality obtained as a result of joint monitoring conducted with the RA Ministry of Health. We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that according to the independent monitoring data received from the RA Water Committee, no deviations in the drinking water quality were recorded in Zovuni village.

In regard to the situation at the address of 2 Building, 38 Zovuni, Yerevan, please note that the study of the samples taken in Mrs. Nelli Gurgenyan's apartment (written inquiry, case 290807) on December 29, 2021 showed that it fully complies with the norms stated by the RA Ministry of Health. If necessary, we are ready to provide all the supporting documents. The tests made on 17.01.2022 at the same location also showed full compliance with the required standards.

As for the issues reported by Mrs. Sukhudyan, they are connected with a one-time accident, the consequences of which were promptly eliminated at shortest time by completely replacing the 25-meter long pipes in the damaged area. In January of this year, the filters in all the houses related to this accident were completely changed.

We would like to inform you also that according to the recently made decision, during the first six months of 2022 an amount of 350 million AMD will be invested for construction of new waterlines near Zovuni village, which will finally solve all the problems related to water supply and water quality...
