Russia: Gazprom allegedly recruits, equips and pays employees to join military battalions fighting in Ukraine; co. didn't respond

A new investigation has found links between two battalions (Potok and Fakel) combatting in Ukraine and Gazprom, through interviews with soldiers' relatives, current and former Gazprom employees, as well as Ukrainian intelligence documents on Russian militias. These battalions form part of a web of semi-independent military units, which men join voluntarily for a salary rather than under conscription.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Gazprom to respond but it did not.
