Emergency at aluminum plant in Khakassia: a worker fell from crane, 14 December 2022

The State Labor Inspectorate in the Republic of Khakassia has begun an investigation into a serious accident that occurred at RUSAL Sayanogorsk Aluminum Smelter JSC on 11December.

"In the electrolysis production building, the operator of a technological crane, while climbing a ladder installed on the cabin, climbing to the platform to inspect the compressor, fell from the crane platform and received serious injuries. This is the second accident this year that occurred at an aluminum plant," the State Inspectorate reports.
