Sofia taxi driver arrested for abduction, rape of client [Bulgaria]

A 40-year-old taxi driver was arrested for the alleged abduction and rape of a client...The man arrested was employed by one of the largest taxi companies in Sofia [company referred to is OK SuperTrans], despite being sought for more than a month in connection with a conviction. When arrested, he had no identification documents, and later was found to have three convictions, including for illegal drugs and vandalism. The man in custody had a police record for possessing drugs, resisting police and robbery, television station bTV said. The alleged victim said that the driver had raped, beaten and robbed her in Sofia's Knyazhevo residential area. The taxi company had declined to comment, bTV said.
