Sri Lanka: Worker attacked by leopard at Bridwell Tea Estate, workers say they live in constant fear of attack, incl. co. responses

In May 2023, it was reported that a worker at Bridwell Tea Estate was attacked by a leopard, and that workers work in constant fear of attack. The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre asked Unilever, Tetley, Ringtons, and Marks and Spencer - buyers from the estate according to publicly disclosed supplier lists - for comment. Lipton Teas and Infusions (formerly ekaterra) which took over most of Unilever's tea business in 2022, was also asked for a response. Full responses are included below.
