In December 2022, Tehmine Yenokyan an environmental activist in Armenia was sued by Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC for defamation. The lawsuit came after Tehmine published, on 1 December 2022, a video by a local NGO on her social media claiming the breakdown of a pipeline going from Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC to its tailing dam and pollution of the Voghji river. The lawsuit demands a denial and compensation of around 6 million AMD (about 15.000USD).
