According to reporting in CIVILNET, migrant workers in Armenia face poor working conditions and lack of labour protections. An Iranian construction worker, who migrated to Armenia because of the US/Israel-Iran conflict, who works through a contractor for a construction company, says his contractor takes half of his daily earnings and does not provide a written contract. He earns only USD19 daily and describes the split in earnings between him and the contractor as not "good". He has also been moved to four different temporary accommodation by his employer during the four months he has been in the country.
