Truist Financial Corporation responded

At Truist, we have a clear purpose – to inspire and build better lives and communities – and we will seek to support candidates and initiatives that advance this purpose. After thoughtful consideration, we’ve sharpened our political engagement practices to clarify how we can best advocate on behalf of our company, clients, and communities while adhering to our values.

This includes a review of all political action committee (PAC) donations to seek to advance equity in our communities, strengthen the financial services industry and, therefore, best support the growth of the economy and the success of our clients. Through this lens, our PAC will continue to focus on core banking and growth-related policy matters including bank regulation, tax policy, community development, infrastructure growth, education and pandemic recovery, consistent with Truist’s purpose.
