UAE: 100 Indian workers at Square General Contracting allegedly stranded without passports following job terminations; co. did not respond

In October 2022, the Tribune India reported on the situation for workers employed by Square General Contracting in the UAE. The 100 Punjabi workers had reportedly been fired from their jobs and the company was still in possession of their passports, the workers were stranded in the company camp without a way to communicate with family and friends.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Square General Contracting to respond to the allegations from the Tribune India; they did not respond.
