On 25 March 2025, coordinated protests by climate justice, Palestine liberation, and migrants’ rights groups targeted major insurance companies across England, including Aviva, AIG, Allianz, and AXA. In central London, two activists were arrested for climbing a building to drop a banner as part of these actions. The protests, organised by groups such as Coal Action Network, Palestine Youth Movement, Parents 4 Palestine, and others, aimed to expose and disrupt the insurance industry’s role in underwriting fossil fuels, arms trade, and migrant detention infrastructure.

The Business and Human Rights Centre invited Aviva, AIG, Allianz, and AXA to respond; they did not.
