UN Guiding Principles at 10: UN Working Group publishes report on implementation of the UNGPs to date

The 16th of June 2021 marks the 10-year anniversary of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). To mark the occasion the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights published a report taking stock of the implementation of the UNGPs to date, assessing progress, gaps, and challenges, as well as obstacles and opportunities for advancing more robust policy action and change. This analysis will be presented to the Human Rights Council on 28 June. Recognizing the important role of the financial sector as a driver for faster implementation of the UNGPs, the general stocktaking report is accompanied by an additional report focused on uptake by and recommendations for institutional investors and others in the investment community.

Both reports are available below. For more information visit our UNGPs 10+ portal and page commemorating the 10th anniversary.
