UCLG address the Human Rights Council

In July 2023, an updated draft of the legally binding instrument was released, ahead of the ninth session of the open-ended intergovernmental working group on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights that will take place in October.

The draft is based on intersessional consultations held among states between April and June 2023. A compilation of the outcomes of the friends of the Chair intersessional consultations is available.

See our Binding Treaty Portal for more background information about the process.
