Veritas Capital did not respond to allegations that the co. is contributing to HART´s invasion of privacy and human rights violations

On 14 July 2022, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Veritas Capital to respond to the allegations contained in the Immigrant Defense Project, Just Futures Law & Mijente report “Hart Attack: How DHS’s massive biometrics database will supercharge surveillance and threaten rights” that through its investment in Peraton, the developer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security´s (DHS) Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology System (HART), Veritas Capital is linked to HART’s invasion of privacy and human rights violations against immigrant communities and communities of colour. The company did not respond.
