A group of workers lodged a complaint of non-payment of wages yesterday against their employer at the Labour and Social Development Ministry.

The 18 workers of different nationalities who work in different positions at Mirador Hotel in Manama claimed they had not received their salaries for the past eight months.

A senior official from the company confirmed that about 30 workers were facing a delay in salaries, adding the matter was being resolved.

“The new management is aware about this issue and have assured the staff it will gradually settle their dues.”
