Riot at JCY Intl. factory highlights conditions of foreign workers in Malaysia; includes company comments
On 26 August 2014, a riot involving thousands of workers – mostly Nepali migrants – broke out at the Johor factory of electronics company JCY International. This was allegedly triggered by reports that the family of a worker who had died did not receive adequate compensation.
