As explained in a response to Mr. Avery on this topic in 2014, BP’s policy is that we do not use BP funds or resources to support any political candidate or party. We recognize the rights of our employees to participate in the political process. For example, in the US we support the operation of an employee political action committee (PAC), in which employees can donate their own money for the PAC to donate on their behalf. BP itself does not make any contribution to these funds.
