On 5 September 2023, Carol Gibbons and Eliza Lox were arrested and charged with trespassing, obstructing free passage of another, and obstruction of justice, following a direct action against the construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline where they attached themselves to construction equipment. Gibbons is also facing an interfering with property rights charge, while Lox faces a conspire to trespass charge.
