FIFA is aware of and closely monitoring the situation regarding an Ebola outbreak, including any policy or travel-related measures introduced by the host countries. FIFA continues to work with all three FIFA World Cup 2026™ (FWC 2026) host countries’ governments, including the US Department of State, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Homeland Security, Mexico’s Secretariat of Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada, as well as with the World Health Organization (WHO), to ensure a safe and secure tournament, as the health of all individuals involved remains FIFA’s priority. FIFA is also in close communication with the Congo DR Football Association to ensure that the team are made aware of all medical and security guidance.

Moreover, FIFA has informed ticket holders residing in DR Congo, South Sudan and Uganda of important travel considerations ahead of the FWC 2026, following the WHO’s determination that the current Ebola outbreak in these countries constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. These include: • All ticket holders are responsible for ensuring they comply with applicable entry requirements, local laws and public health measures, in line with the FWC 2026 Ticket Terms of Use. • Where fans anticipate that they may be unable to meet the relevant entry requirements, FIFA highlights that tickets may be listed for resale via the official FIFA Resale Marketplace or transferred to another individual eligible to attend.
