...Fortis MFB [microfinance bank] said it has set aside some funds to be disbursed as loans to women living with HIV/AIDS. The Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Deji Fisho announced the gesture at the weekend at an event to mark the International Women's Day celebration organised by Association of Women Living with HIV and AIDS (ASWHAN) in collaboration with Women Wont Wait (WWW) campaign. Although, Fisho did not mention the amount to be disbursed, he stated that the loan would be given out at free interest rate.
