Mia Manuelita Mascarinas-Green was a lawyer who worked with environmental, women's and children's rights in Manila. On 15 February, she was allegedly shot seven times and killed in front of her three children and a nanny. Police has alleged that they have identified the killers, and that Mia Manuelita Mascarinas-Green's death may have been related to a case in which her client sued a resort during a land rights dispute in Bohol.
