Albania: Oil workers continue hunger strike over unpaid wages

DP Pressures Premier to give up threats on oil-women, 28 October 2020

...Oil workers of Ballsh refinery have been on hunger strike for 32 days in a row (18 days the oil-men and 14 days the oil-women), asking [Prime Minister Edi Rama] for their 20 unpaid salaries and work resumption. But the Premier has set conditions that workers give up their hunger strike first and then he will go and meet with them.

For this reason, [former MP Albana Vokshi] declared to the Premier that the only solution to the hunger strikes is to pay [the workers] their money...
