Incident at Syngenta Cascavel site, Brazil

We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic events which occurred at Syngenta's research station of Santa Tereza do Oeste, near Cascavel, in Parana state, on 21 October 2007. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved. No Syngenta employee was on the site at the time of the incident...Syngenta strongly refutes any allegation that the security firm was ordered to retake the site or to engage in any violent confrontation. Syngenta condemns the use of violence in all forms.
