Moroccan Union calls on freight handling company APM terminals to respect freedom of association following dismissal of a union leader.APM terminals responds

In a statement published on the 2nd of September 2020,  the Morrocan Labour union has condemned that, port operating company APM terminals, ( par of Maersk)  has allegedly abusively dismissed the general secretary of the trade union at the Tangier port in Morroco on the 2nd of September 2009. The statement of the Moroccan Labour Union ( UMT) also mentions that  APM terminals is allegedly practicing union-busting tactics and calls on the company to respect trade union rights in Morocco and re-instate the worker. 

The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre contacted APM terminals for a response. APM terminals denied these allegations.
