Environmental status review of Poltava region, Q1 2025, 23 April 2025

Emissions of air pollutants from PJSC “Poltava Mining and Processing Plant” amounted to 1,277.539 tonnes, which is 181.7 tonnes (24%) higher than in Q4 2024, due to increased consumption of natural gas and explosives. A significant share of emissions (35%) at the enterprise consists of suspended particulate matter, while nitrogen compounds account for 48%.

LLC “Yerystivskyi Mining and Processing Plant” emitted 1,068.3855 tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere during the first quarter of 2025, which is 220.89 tons (or 28%) more than in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The increase in pollutant emissions was due to the expansion of areas used for mining waste disposal and the operation of the boiler house during the heating season. The majority of emissions at this enterprise consist of suspended particulate matter (80%) and carbon dioxide.
