The Executive Director of the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business Vicky Bowman was arrested, along with husband Htein Lin, in Yangon on August 24, 2022, for violating the country’s immigration laws. The arrest comes just before the imposition of a new round of sanctions on military-linked enterprises.
