Baidu releases Human Rights Policy

"Baidu Releases Its Human Rights Policy"

To fully reflect Baidu's core value of respecting human rights and inform stakeholders of its commitments and concrete measures to protect human rights, Baidu, adhering to its social responsibility philosophy of "technology for a better future" as a signatory of the UN Global Compact,  has developed and issued Baidu’s Human Rights Policy in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the United Nations Guidelines for Business and Human Rights, and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

The Policy identifies, mitigates, and prevents human rights risks in relation to the company and value chains for its employees, suppliers, partners, users, communities, and other stakeholders through human rights due diligence. Meanwhile, Baidu is committed to providing or engaging in fair and equitable remedies for identified negative human rights impacts caused by business activities. Furthermore, Baidu requires its partners and suppliers to comply with the Policy and encourages them to develop an equivalent human rights protection policy.
