AngloGold Ashanti mines uranium only at its Vaal River operations in South Africa. In South Africa there exist no separate financial agreements between the State and ourselves (or any other mining company). Taxes, royalties and other disbursements to government are determined by statutes and regulations applicable to all companies that fall into the categories to which these apply, and are a matter of public record.
