Egypt: Workplace accident leaves three dead at MEDCOM's cement plant

Reports claim that inadequate safety measures and malfunctioning equipment at MEDCOM Aswan Cement caused industrial materials to heat up to 1,200 degrees Celsius, spilling on site, and killing three workers alongside injuring two others. Eight factory workers were also allegedly detained by the police following a strike demanding an investigation into the incident, as well as calls for a safer working environment.
