Another death in one week at the AMT metallurgical plant, 16 June 2022

In the city of Temirtau on June 16, another death occurred at the metallurgical plant of ArcelorMittal Temirtau (AMT). During the performance of installation work at one of the boilers of TPP-2, a 35-year-old worker died after falling from a height of numerous meters...

RFE/RL was informed about the incident by employees of the enterprise. Also, information began to spread on social networks. By that time, there was no official confirmation of the information, as well as condolences from the employer, ArcelorMittal Temirtau and the authorities...

A little later, an information message appeared from the management of the contracting company AB Construction that “the employee received injuries incompatible with life” and that “the case is under investigation”...
