On 17 July 2024, the Tigerian District Court sentenced Miriam Meyer to a prison sentence of one year and four months without parole. She is a leading member of the environmental activist organisation protesting specifically against the fossil fuel industry, Last Generation, and has been found guilty for damaging property, resisting law enforcement officers and coercion. The indictment pointed that she was involved in road blocks and paint attack on the protected facade of the Federal Transport Ministry.
