Mitsubishi UFJ Financial's response

23 November 2021

MUFG does not conduct transactions with state military affiliated corporates or individuals designated as subject to sanctions by OFAC regulations, etc.

The MUFG Environmental and Social Policy Framework, which stipulates MUFG's policies for environmental and social initiatives, includes a policy of not providing financing for “transactions which violate public order and good morals”. Therefore, in cases where we are aware of significant environmental and social risks or impacts our policy is not to provide financing.

When we consider providing financing, we promote respect for human rights by ensuring that our customers give appropriate consideration to environmental and social issues based on the MUFG Environmental and Social Policy Framework.
