[PDF] Request to Commonwealth Minister over NNTT Decision [Australia]

The company wishes to advise that its wholly owned subsidiary, Holocene PL, has made a request to the Commonwealth Attorney General to overrule the National Native Title Tribunal’s (NNTT) decision to refuse the company’s mining lease application at Lake Disappointment…Holocene has made the request on the grounds that a potash production facility at Lake Disappointment is in the national interest, and in the interests of the State of Western Australia. Holocene has also submitted to the Attorney General that the effect of the grant of the mining lease on the Martu Peoples’ native title will not be substantial, and that the Martu People will benefit from the mining lease being granted.
